Short-form editing

Short-form is decided in the first two seconds. Not the idea, not the ending, the first two seconds. Most people who see the video will see only that, so the edit is built backwards from it: the strongest moment goes first, the setup gets cut to the bone, and anything that delays the point is gone.

After the hook, the job is holding on. That means cutting on movement rather than on silence, keeping subtitles readable on a phone at normal viewing distance, and using sound to carry the cut rather than decorate it. Vertical framing is done properly too: reframed for 9:16 rather than a landscape edit with the sides chopped off, which is what makes reposted content look secondhand.

What is not included

This is editing, not filming and not scripting. If the footage does not exist yet, the honest answer is that an editor cannot fix that in post, and it is better to say so before you pay for anything.
