Using Your Brain To Write When You're Stuck

This video covers getting moving again when writing has stalled, treating being stuck as the normal state of the work rather than a failure of it. Elymar Apao presents it, drawing on a background leading customer experience and product teams and founding one of the largest non-profit UX design communities in the Philippines.

Framelink Media edited it around the structure, since a talking video has nothing to cut away to. The ideas were ordered so each arrives where it is useful, the repetition that comes from thinking aloud was removed, and the pauses were left in because they are where the thinking shows.

The video was prepared for publication as part of his series on working methods, with the title set so it reads clearly against the rest of that run.

The finished video suits writers, designers and anybody whose work involves getting words out, and sits in his series on how he works.
