Black Faith Network studio piece

Corporate & training · Black Faith Network

This is a studio piece for Black Faith Network, presented straight to camera from the gallery with the monitor wall behind. A broadcaster has a format already, so the job is to match it rather than to invent one.

Framelink Media cut it to the shape their audience expects: the presenter holds the frame, the room is left visible behind her because it is the proof that this is a broadcast rather than a webcam, and the network mark stays in its corner throughout.

The monitors behind are a problem as much as a feature. Every one of them is moving, so the depth of field and the grade were set to keep them present and stop them competing with a face, which is where the whole piece lives.

Levels were matched across the cut so nothing jumps between takes, which is the part an audience never notices and always notices the absence of.
