I worked out with a stranger

This is the cover for a collaboration on Marvin Achi's fitness channel, and the whole idea of it is the thing it does not say. The headline ends in a row of asterisks where the other name would be, so the cover asks a question only the video answers.

Framelink Media kept a real moment rather than a posed shot. He is spotting a lifter mid-set, both people are working, and the bar is where it should be, which is what separates a gym cover from a picture of somebody standing next to a machine.

The type sits in the empty left third of the frame where the gym floor falls away, so nothing was covered up to make room for it and the room still reads behind the words.

A cyan glow traces the two subjects and lifts them off a background of racks and mirrors. It is the only effect on the frame, and it is there to solve a contrast problem rather than to decorate one.
