Why you forget books you read

Thumbnails

This is the cover for a video on why reading does not stay with you. It leads with the problem rather than the fix, which is the right way round for a subject where the viewer already knows the feeling and is looking for somebody to name it.

Framelink Media set the headline over two lines with the second highlighted in yellow, so the phrase books you read carries the weight. The library behind the subject is darkened under the type and left bright around him, which keeps the setting without losing a word of the text.

The stack of books in the foreground gives the frame a physical object at a size that survives being shrunk, and a drawn brain and bulb sit opposite it so both halves of the subject are in the picture.

The whole frame is graded warm and dark, which is what lets one yellow line and one white line carry everything the cover has to say.
