W Express riders at the van

This is a crew photograph for W Express: three staff beside a branded van, two of them on the delivery motorbike the company runs in traffic. It is the frame that shows the network rather than a single branch.

Framelink Media retouched it. There are four blues in this picture, three shirts and the van, and they have to agree with each other and with the value the company holds as its own. Outdoors they never start out agreeing: one person is in sun, one in shade from the van, and the paintwork carries the sky.

So the correction was made per person against the same reference rather than applied across the frame. Pull the whole picture toward the brand colour and the shadows go blue with it, which is the moment a photograph starts looking retouched.

The yellow of the van was left where it was. It is the other half of the livery and moving it to help the blue would trade one problem for another.
