Three reasons

This is a vertical piece built on a count of three, delivered straight to camera with nothing in the frame but the speaker. A numbered piece is easy to start and hard to finish: the viewer knows how much is left, so every point has to earn the one after it.

Framelink Media cut it for that. The setup is short, each reason starts cleanly rather than running out of the last one, and the pauses between them were tightened without clipping the ends of sentences, which is what makes speech sound rushed.

The framing is close and centred, which is right for a piece where there is nothing to look at except a face, and the eyeline sits in the upper third so captions have somewhere to live.

The background was left plain and slightly darker than the subject so the eye has nowhere else to go, which on a talking-head vertical is the whole of the visual design.
