Portrait commission reveal
This is a vertical piece from the same portrait commission work as the pencil drawing elsewhere on this site. The business turns photographs into drawn portraits, and the reveal is the whole of the marketing: the product is a surprise somebody paid for.
Framelink Media built the piece around that moment. A reveal needs a beat of nothing before it, which is why the opening frame is a white flash rather than a picture, and the drawing arrives out of it.
The cut holds on the finished portrait for longer than a social piece usually holds on anything. Somebody deciding whether to commission one is looking at the likeness, and a likeness cannot be judged in half a second.
The rest is kept plain. There is no music swell and no caption over the drawing, because anything laid on top of the reveal competes with the thing the video exists to reveal.
