10 things to learn as a photographer

Thumbnails

This is the cover for a video of photography lessons, and the only honest way to sell one is with a photograph somebody would want to have taken. So the frame is given over to the image and the words stay out of it.

Framelink Media set the headline across the bottom third in a single weight, low enough to clear the eyes, which are the part of this picture doing the work. Corner marks sit at the edges as a viewfinder, the one piece of decoration on the frame and the one that says what the video is about.

The grade keeps the greens and the eyes and pulls everything else down, so a busy bed of leaves reads as a single field of colour at small sizes rather than as noise.

The count sits first in the line, because a number is the thing people scan a results page for.
